Inquiry
Inquiry? There is no sound definition for this term but, to me, it means being curious about everything and questioning the world till you get an answer that leaves you with no doubt. Inquiry matters to every student. Inquiry teaches us that we have to keep on asking questions and we shouldn’t stop till we have enough information to satisfy us for the question asked. In Wellness & Fitness class, I used inquiry to figure out how to do a certain exercise and to figure out if I was doing it right or not. In FLL Robotics, I made sure I understood each programming step by asking my coaches and fellow teammates about the program. I began to observe that if I spent my life trying to figure things out by myself instead of clarifying them with others, I wouldn’t have quality education and I wouldn’t get as far as I am today.
This is an email that I sent my science teacher asking her a question about gravitational and kinetic energy.
