Projects

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math.  Our curriculum is based on Project-Based Learning which gives us a chance to develop real-world skill sets while learning the curriculum. It gives a positive environment, giving students the opportunity to learn at their own pace. DRSS encourages our students to strive to develop our Five Qualities. The Five Qualities are Persistence, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, and Inquiry. DRSS emphasizes the importance of these qualities more than grades and tests. These Five Qualities have formed my work ethic and my motivation to get past challenges. By having the motto of “The Real World Starts Here”, we believe in learning these qualities for the future. By practicing these qualities, I have understood the importance of working with others and being effective as a team. In any project, questions need to be asked and creativity needs to be used for the end product to meet the requirements. I know that when I fall, I need to learn from it and move forward.
